Obituary

Harold P. Rottenberg, of Swampscott, MA, died peacefully May 16, 2016. He was the son of the late Mollie (Fisher) and Thomas Rottenberg of Everett, MA, and the brother of the late Diane Davis of Marblehead, MA. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Linda, his daughter Jennifer Rottenberg (Los Angeles, CA), daughter and son-in-law Wendy Rottenberg Feiner and Matt Feiner (Newton, MA), and grandchildren, Joshua, Brett and Amanda Feiner, as well as sisters-in-law Ellian Seder and Joanne Campanella, brother-in-law David Campanella, nephew Alex Campanella and niece Sara Campanella, nephews Glenn Davis and his wife Cathy (Marblehead, MA), Paul Davis and his wife Liane (Marblehead, MA), and grand-nieces and nephew, Caitlin, Kelsey, Hannah and Thomas.
Born in Everett, MA, he graduated from Everett High School and Boston University School of Management, where he was President of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. He served in the United States Army for two years, in the peacekeeping force in Korea.
He was a proud resident of Swampscott, MA for forty-four years. During that time, he served on the Insurance Advisory Committee, was elected the Commissioner of Trust Funds and was a member of the Regionalization Committee. He was a member of Temple Beth El in Swampscott for over thirty years. Most recently he was a founding member of the Swampscott Farmer's Market Committee.
He was a Vice President of Natgun Corporation, a multi-national construction company, for 40 years. He always said he was lucky to have a job that he enjoyed so much. He would point out that he only had eight bad days in those forty years.
The loves and happiness of his life were his wife Linda, daughters Jennifer and Wendy, and his three grandchildren: Josh, Amanda, and Brett. His happiest moments were to hear the word Papa, or sometimes Puppy.
He was most proud of the achievements of his two daughters, Jennifer and Wendy, and his son-in-law, Matt. Jennifer is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School. Wendy is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. And, Matt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He would say, two daughters and one son in law - Five Ivy League Degrees!
