Michael E. Devine, age 76 of Methuen passed away on May 15, 2016. Michael was born in Lowell on September 2, 1939 to the late Raymond and Marion (Wilson) Devine. Mr. Devine was educated in the Lawrence Schools. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran, serving with the historic Seabees unit from 1957-1961. Michael was employed at New England Foundry of Lawrence for 20 years. He was also a long time employee of the Glen Forest Tavern of Methuen. Michael was also a member of the Arlington Athletic and Social Club.
Michael was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Zolteck) Devine. He was the devoted father of Colleen Francisco and her husband Zack, Christine Devine, Cheryl Devine, and Tracy Devine and the step-father of Geraldine and Patrice. Mr. Devine was the dear brother of Evelyn St. Hilaire and her husband Robert, the late Joan Remmilard and her late husband John, and the late Rita Benjamin. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his dear friend Colleen Coty-Fortier.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church of Methuen. Interment to follow at a later date at the family’s discretion.
