Nelson P. Lugo (74) died May 15th in the Kindred Hospital, Stoughton. He was the husband of the late Mercedes (Quintero) Lugo.
He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico son of the late Jose Lugo of Puerto Rico and Barbara (Ferrer) Lugo and has been in this country the past 55 years coming from Puerto Rico. Nelson was an accomplished guitar builder in the Boston area. He enjoyed playing his guitar composing and singing music. He also was faithful to his church the Good Shepard in Boston.
Survivors include 3 sons Luis and Nelson Jr. Lugo both of Brockton and Israel Lugo of Boston, 3 daughters Nancy Lugo of Fall River, Raquel Burgos of Boston and Elena Soto of Brockton, 7 grandchildren, 2 sisters Lucrecia Lugo of Bridgewater and Ana Lugo of Puerto Rico also the late Pastor Lugo.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday May 20th at 11 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Thursday May 19th from 5-9 pm.
