East Bridgewater – Sheila (Adams) Ford 80, a longtime resident of East Bridgewater, died Saturday May 14 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry W. Ford.
Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Elsie J. (French) Adams and a graduate of Whitman High School.
Sheila had been a resident of East Bridgewater for over 60 years, where she and her husband Henry raised their five children, and prior to her retirement she had worked for over 25 years for the Foxboro Company.
She is survived by her children Henry Ford of East Bridgewater, Kim Cameron and her husband Paul of Whitman, Joyce Brown and her husband Charlie of East Bridgewater and Susan Shenette and her husband Wayne of Rockland, her brothers Roland Adams of Rochester and Dana Adams of MD, her sisters Pauline Singleton of East Bridgewater and Irene Adams of Brockton and her son-in-law Russell Wilkinson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Frances Wilkinson, her sister Louise Willet and her brother Mickey Adams.
Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service to be held Thursday May 19 at 10:00 AM in the Northville Cemetery, Oak Street, East Bridgewater. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
