Margaret A. “Peggy” Wiswell, 73, longtime resident of Beverly, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the loving wife of Alfred J. Wiswell and the daughter of the late Gerald and Honora Jones.
Peggy was a longtime employee of Beverly Hospital until her retirement. She loved spending time in Maine with her close friend, Sharon Gendron. Everywhere Peggy went, she would gain another close friend. Her joys in life were spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband of twelve years, she is survived by her three children, Gary Scott, Mary Scott and Susan Limoges and five grandchildren, Tara and Christopher Limoges, Emily and Jonathan Putur and Dylan Hickey; her sister, Mary Walsh and her husband, Richard; her brother, Gerald "Sonny" Jones and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her loving sisters, Jeannie Torsey and Janet Jones, a brother, John Jones and her former beloved husband of thirty-five years, Donald J. LaMontagne.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of Peggy’s life on Friday, May 20th at the family home at 27 Wallis St., Beverly at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Beverly Bootstraps, 198 Rantoul St., Beverly, MA 01915.
