Obituary

Ronald W. White, 73, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was the husband of Alice A. (Guillemette) White.

Mr. White was born in Westport, son of the late William and Vera (Cross) White and had been a lifelong resident of the town. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country in the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement in 1994, he worked as an assembler for General Motors, Framingham. Mr. White was a "man of all trades" and very talented especially when it came to restoring antique cars and building furniture. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. He loved his dog Molly, enjoyed working on computers and going to flea markets. He loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Survivors along with his wife include his daughter: Chondra L. Sheldon and her husband Timothy of MD; his sister: Jane DaRocha of FL; 2 granddaughters: Kailey Ann Sheldon and Emma Lee Sheldon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
