Maureen Patricia Coyne passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Born in Boston and formerly a Milton resident for many years, she had lived in Cambridge for the past 30 years. Maureen was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Class of 1963 and Boston State College, Class of 1967. She was a retired Boston Elementary School Teacher and a former employee of the Stop & Shop Grocery Store, Cambridge. The beloved daughter of the late John G. & Marie A. (Sullivan) Coyne, she is survived by her devoted brothers and sister; John G. “Jay” Coyne, Jr. & his wife Regina of Whitman, M. Christine Bierbrier & her husband Len of Cambridge, and Richard C. Coyne & his wife AnnMarie of No. Billerica and her loving nieces & nephews; Claire, Lisa, John G. III & Erin Coyne and Nathan & Noah Bierbrier. She was the dear niece of Joan Shea & her husband Bob of Marshfield & Philip Sullivan & his wife Eileen of Milton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Thursday, May 19th at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Interment in Milton Cemetery.
