In Taunton, May 12, 2016 Regina M. (Reilly) Bernacchio, age 91, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Regina is survived by her loving husband Italo M. Bernacchio of 68 years. She was born in Newburyport, Ma, the daughter of the late Patrick & Catherine (Marcotte) Reilly. Regina was educated and raised in Cambridge, Ma and moved to Taunton in 1947. She also lived in Cocoa, Fl, moving there in 1994. Regina was employed for the City of Taunton as a cook and manager in the school cafeterias. After her retirement she became a avid flea marketer and enjoyed duckpin bowling, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Regina leaves her children Michael T. Bernacchio and his late wife Stephanie of North Dighton, Charles P. Bernacchio and his wife Catherine of Falmouth, ME, Paul Bernacchio and his wife Kathy of Denham Springs, LA, Peter Bernacchio and his wife Linda of Lakeville and Ann Bernacchio-Egan and her husband Bill of Taunton. She was also the sister of the late Marie O’Connell, John, Thomas and Francis Reilly. Regina also leaves her loving grandchildren Caleb Bernacchio, Kate Mire, Andrew Bernacchio and Claire Bernacchio of LA, and Eric Bernacchio and Kristy Bell of Lakeville and Michaela Bernacchio of Texas and Casey Bernacchio of North Dighton and also her three great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, May 19th from 5-7 pm. at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, Ma 02780 Funeral services are private at the request of the family.
