NATICK: Carol Ann (Walsh) Colucci, age 76, died on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Daniel Colucci.
Born, raised and educated in Boston, Carol was the daughter of the late Redmond and Alice (Darchik) Walsh. She and Daniel were married while she was attending Northeastern University. Carol earned a Baccalaureate of Language Arts.
The Coluccis settled in Natick in 1968, and together owned and operated Danny’s Liquor Mart on Massachusetts Avenue in Boston for over 40 years. More recently she was employed as an administrative assistant at Charles River Medical Associates in Needham. She retired in 2011.
Carol was a loving and attentive mother and a long time parishioner of Saint Linus Church. She cherished being a grandmother and was very proud of her grandchildren’s accomplishments. She was happiest when her growing family could gather together and enjoy one another’s company.
Predeceased by Daniel in 2002, she is survived by their four children, Elizabeth Ann Weir and her husband Jeffrey of Fayetteville, GA, Victoria A. Belanger and her husband Richard of Rutland, Daniel R. Colucci, Jr. and his wife Diane of Chelmsford, and Steven J. Colucci and his wife Julie of Lynnfield; a brother, Redmond Walsh, Jr., and his wife Jeanne of Brighton; and her grandchildren, Samantha, Jeffrey, Brittany, Rachel, Ricky, Madison, Carter, and Will. She was also the sister of the late Thomas Walsh.
Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Monday, May 16th at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, 2 – 5PM. Donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701
