In Taunton, May 10, 2016 Cindy L. (Thornley) Gwozdz, Age 56, passed away in her home while surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness. Cindy is survived by her husband Joseph M. Gwozdz of Taunton. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of Eva (Boivin) Thornley and the late Richard Thornly. Cindy had resided all her life in Taunton. She attended Taunton schools and graduated from Brockton School of Nursing. Cindy worked at New England Baptist Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital both in Boston until her health had allowed. She enjoyed traveling, kayaking, hiking, camping and loved her motor home, above all she cherished her time with family and friends. In addition to her husband, Cindy leaves her beloved daughters Ana and Mary Gwozdz both of Taunton. She also leaves her siblings Phyllis Harraghy of Taunton, Paula McGinn of Westport, Carol Paquette of Taunton and Elaine Gregory of Dighton. Cindy also leaves several nieces and nephews and many many friends. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Monday, May 16th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
