Mr. Wayne B. Zilch, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 10 at his residence. He was the former husband of Laurie (Susol) Zilch. He was born 52 years ago in Great Britain, the son of the late Charles W. Zilch and the late Barbara (Young) Donovan. He was the stepson of Nancy (Reed) Zilch. Wayne was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School, and had been a city resident for most of his life. He was formerly employed as a printing supervisor for Courier Corp. of Stoughton and Westford for 15 years. He was previously employed at Rand McNally in Taunton for 15 years. Wayne was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club. He enjoyed shooting, playing golf, and walking in the Massasoit State Park with his dogs, Buster Brown, Foxy, Rocky, and Baby Ruth.
In addition to his former wife, of Brockton, he leaves: 1 brother: Warren Zilch and his wife, Jeanne of Great Britain; 1 sister: Donna L. Dusseault and her husband, Douglas of Taunton; 4 nephews: Joseph, Jack and Max Zilch, and Derek Dusseault; 1 niece: Cassie Dusseault, and his best friend, “Sara.”
A Memorial Service will be held the First Parish Church, 76 Church Green, Taunton, on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
