Lobred, John Edward, 68, of Louisville, KY passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 with his wife & son by his side.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley V.; a sister, Diane Kehl; and his brother, Bobby.
John is survived by loving wife of 41 years, Wanda Bohler Lobred; his son, Shane; grandson, Michael, mother, Marylou Baker; brother, Stanley “Skip” (Sunny); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
He graduated from Valley High School in 1965. He retired from Ford Motor Co. LAP in 1999, after 31 years of service. John was past Treasure of the Southwest Spurs Chapter of the NWTF, he was a KY Colonel and was also a member of Outdoors Without Limits.
John loved to hunt and fish. His cancer, nor the treatments, ever stopped him from going to his cabin in Breckenridge Co. that he loved. He was a great cook and won the KY Wild Game Cook Off for Stews and Soups, Individual Champion in 2007.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday.
