Norma J. Bowen, 81, of Dartmouth died May 10, 2016 at home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late John Bowen.
Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Alphonso) Macedo, she lived in Dartmouth all of her life.
Mrs. Bowen was formerly employed by Hemingway Transportation and later was employed at Dartmouth High School for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Shawn Bowen and his wife Terri of Dartmouth; a daughter, Colleen DeMello and her husband Bruce of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren, Kerri Ann DeMello and her companion Peter Enright of Queensland, Australia, and Riley Regina Bowen and Amanda Jean Bowen, both of Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Hilda Tavares, Judith Correia and Manuel Macedo, Jr.
Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 13th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with her Funeral Service at 7:30 PM.
