Marion (Parker) Trop, age 97, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday May 10, 2016. Marion was the beloved wife of the late Leigh B. Trop and is survived by her 4 loving daughters, Marion Chinzi of Weymouth, Carol Lane of Kingston, Patricia Simonton of Halifax and Barbara Leigh Trop of Weymouth. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Marion was born in Milton, grew up in North Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School before moving to Weymouth where she has lived for 66 years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed playing bingo and collecting swan figurines.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Marion on Friday, May 13 from 4-8 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Funeral Service in honor of Marion’s life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 14 at 1 PM. Burial will be in Halifax Central Cemetery.
