Hudson, MA

Natalie T. (Lage) Cenedella, 91, of Hudson, died on Saturday, May 7th at Marlboro Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Edward L. Cenedella Sr. who died in 2002.

Natalie was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Antonio and Gracinda (Botelho) Lage. She was raised in Milford where she attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of Milford High School. She later received her Associate’s Degree from Becker College. She was employed by the Dept. of Defense as a Military Secretary at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. during WWII. She has resided in Hudson since 1953 and was an office assistant for Dr. Curtis and later Dr. Sullivan in Hudson for many years. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson, member of the Catholic Daughters of America and member of the Hudson Woman’s Club.

Natalie was a devoted wife, loving mother and an inspiration to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished being with her family, especially later with all her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and attending social activities with all her friends. Her memories are full of life and she will truly be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her children, Carol Quinn, wife of the late William Quinn of Readsboro, VT, Edward L. Cenedella Jr. and his wife Sharon of West Springfield, MA and Barbara C. Maglione and her husband Richard of Hudson, MA. She is also survived by her brother, John D. Lage and his wife Marilyn of Haverhill, MA; her grandchildren, Christine Meyers, Kathleen Quinn, Kate Johnson, Benjamin Cenedella, Nicholas Maglione, Sal Maglione; her great grandchildren Jake and Chloe Meyers, Brooke and Genevieve Johnson along with many cousins and friends. She was the sister of the late Regina Melamede of Florida.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday, May 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
