Linda Jean Finn (Hearon) of Somerville, MA passed away unexpectedly on May 5th, 2016 at the age of 65.
Linda is survived by her Mother, Marie Hearon of Arlington, MA; her Aunt Jean Brenner of Lexington, MA; her Son Gerald Patrick "Jay" Finn III, his wife Kristen and their two children, Patrick and Ashlyn of Wilmington; her Sister Katherine Apple (Hearon) of Prescott Valley, AZ and her Husband Chuck and her children Michelle, Bridgette, Deandrea and George and many other friends and relatives around the country. She is preceded in death by her Father Mack Hearon of Garvin, OK.
Linda was born on September, 18th, 1950 in Somerville, MA to Mack and Marie Hearon and grew up in Somerville, Watertown and Belmont, MA. Her friends and family will remember her as a kind, hard working and driven mother who was very proud of her Native American heritage and the military service of her Father who fought in World War II in the Battle of Guadalcanal in the Marine Corps and one of the original Marine “Raiders” and her Son’s service in the Army and Navy who served as a Naval Aviator and in the war in Iraq. Linda had a love of the outdoors, the beach and travel and was passionate about horses, horseback riding and horse racing.
During her professional life Linda was a Computer Programmer at Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN) Technologies, Digital Equipment Corporation and Simplex Time Recording.
