Stephen “Claude” Hendricks, Jr., 83, of Tifton went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Roger Mays and the Rev. Ronnie Howell officiating. His son, Stephen Hendricks will give a eulogy. Mr. Hendricks will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Billy Hendricks, Keith Hendricks, Toby Knight, Earl Frye, Larry Hendricks, Chris Hendricks, Ronald Greer and Freddie Harris will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 16, 1933 in Tift County, Mr. Hendricks was the son of the late Stephen Claude Hendricks, Sr. and Hazel King Hendricks. Claude worked for 34 years with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a loyal member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Tifton.
Mr. Hendricks is survived by his wife, Pat Hendricks of Tifton; his son, Stephen Claude Hendricks, III of Tifton; a sister, Betty Bobbitt of North Carolina; and one brother, Billy Hendricks of Moultrie.
