TEWKSBURY - Ann Louise (Crowley) Sexton, age 85, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, died peacefully on Saturday evening, May 7, surrounded by her loving family, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill following a brief period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Patrick Sexton Jr., with whom she had celebrated a sixtieth wedding anniversary this past September.
She was born in Allston in July 1930, a daughter of the late John F. and Ellen A. (Conalty) Crowley, and lived her entire life in Tewksbury. She graduated from Keith Hall in Lowell, and later the Boston Stenotype Institute.
She worked for the Tewksbury School Department for many years, beginning as a Library Assistant and Clerk, and retired as a Secretary at the Heath Brook School in Tewksbury. She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
Ann and her family enjoyed camping, and motorhome travel. She and her husband had traveled across America, and they had also enjoyed many European vacations, especially to her beloved Ireland.
Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Joanne Sexton of Tewksbury, twins Patricia A. Proctor of Lowell and Thomas P. Sexton III and his wife Pamela Harty - of Hingham; five adored grandchildren, Mary Proctor of Manchester, NH, Michelle Proctor of Lowell, and John Proctor of Lowell; Helen, and Emmet Sexton of Hingham; a sister, Sr. Marie F. Crowley, M.M. of NY.
She was predeceased by her sister Jean A. Crowley.
Visiting hours Tuesday, May 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, cor. of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CNTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (rte. 38) Tewksbury.
