Barbara Gann Goins, 75, of Ty Ty passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Goins at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rodney Owens will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, May 9, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born April 16, 1941 in Omega, Mrs. Goins was the daughter of the late Eldo Gann and Winnie Newell Gann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Lee Goins, who died in 2010; a daughter, Kathie Marie Goins; and a brother, Robert Gann, who died April 24, 2016. She graduated from Tift County High School and was employed as a laboratory helper at the Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory in Tifton. She was a member of Ty Ty First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Goins is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Ann Goins and Kristie Leigh Goins, both of Ty Ty; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hilton and Lutrelle Gann and David and Marie Gann, all of Tifton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joann Baird of Groveland, Florida and Linda and Jimmie Norman of Tifton; and a sister-in-law, Toni Gann of Tifton.
