Semmie Dixon Wilson, 93, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, May 9, 2016 at Ocilla Cemetery in Ocilla with the Rev. Roger Tucker officiating.
Mrs. Wilson was born August 18, 1922, to the late Thomas & Emma Dixon. She was a 1942 graduate of Ocilla High School and attended nursing school at Georgia Baptist in Atlanta. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse until her children were born. Her sons will remember her as the best cook in Irwin County. Mrs. Wilson loved to garden, fish, and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Ocilla Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Mike & Kathy Wilson of Ocilla, David Wilson of Ocilla, and Tommy & Kim Wilson of Ocilla; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Wilson; and her twin brother, Robert Dixon.
