One of heavens most loved treasures was called to come home, Ramon Gonzalez of Manchester, NH passed away on Friday May 6, 2016 at the age of 87; right after a gorgeous rainbow ripped through the never ending grey clouds. Ramon passed peacefully & comfortably at his house, in his bed surrounded by family per his wishes. Ramon Gonzalez was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico on June 16, 1928 to Pablo Gonzalez and Ines Ojeda Gonzalez. Ramon was a lifelong resident of Jamaica Plains, MA until just recently relocating to Manchester, NH to be cared for by children. Ramon lives on in spirit through his surviving family members. Ramon’s 2 sisters, Maria & Minin, Ramon’s 5 children: Maria Gonzalez Mandrafino, Lillian Gonzalez Robles, Jose Flores, Ramon Gonzalez Flores & William Gonzalez. Ramon was also the proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren Giana Gonzalez and Jay Gonzalez Gnatt. Ramon Gonzalez was a 40+ year employee of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before retiring in 1995. Ramon Gonzalez was also a lifelong beloved member of the clergy at both Blessed Sacrament & Lady of Lourdes. Ramon was a beam of sunlight piercing through a cloud or the one star in the night sky to shine so bright that it renders all the other stars invisible. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower Street (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Wednesday May 11 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 14 Montebello Rd. Jamaica Plain on Thursday May 12 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
