Scott Elden Bither of Somerville died on Thursday, May 5, at the Cambridge Hospital. Raised and educated in South Boston, he was the son of Marguerite (Noyes) Bither of Quincy and the late Roger Bither. After graduating high school Scott moved to Somerville where he was employed as an automotive mechanic.
He was the beloved husband of Antonetta (Danieli) Bither, and the devoted father of Scott D. Bither and his wife Sara of Methuen, Toni-Ann Flower and her husband Matthew of Morris, Minnesota. Scott was the loving grandfather of Abigail, Emily and Eleanor. He was the cherished brother of Bruce, Randall and Charles Bither, Gretchen Spears, and the late Christine Glovin and Roger Bither Jr. He was the beloved son-in-law of John and Carolina Danieli of Somerville, and the brother-in-law of Lawrence Danieli of Somerville, Grace and John Maidrand of Burlington, Josephine and Michael Baxter, John and Marie Danieli, all of Somerville. Scott was the nephew of Maria and Antonio Nasta of Medford, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, May 10, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 through 7 PM. Interment will be private.
