Mr. Alan D. Williams, a resident of Lawrence, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning, May 4, 2016 at the age of 51. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on July 6,1964. He was the beloved son of Louis F. and Theresa B. (Teixeira) Williams of Shrewsbury, Vermont. Alan was a Senior Claims Adjuster for MetLife Auto and Home for 22 years. In addition to this, Alan was also a former and the youngest Exalted Ruler for the Lawrence Elks. A big kid at heart, Alan enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, telling his famous jokes, country music, remote controlled vehicles and spending time with his daughters, family and friends. Alan was the type of person everyone needs in their lives, he was truly one of a kind. He will be dearly and deeply missed.
Besides his parents; Louis and Theresa, Alan is survived by his loving daughters; Elizabeth M. Williams and Shannon R. Williams, both of Andover, former wife; Cheryl A. Williams of Andover, siblings; Katherine A. and her husband Steven D. Arsenault of Fremont, New Hampshire, Frederick L. and his wife Patti E. Williams of Fremont, New Hampshire and Patricia and her husband Raymond Berube of Danville, New Hampshire, grandmother; Mrs. Alvin Teixeira of Reading, uncle; “Uncle Lyle” and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jo-Ann Mission.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held at the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, May 9, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. Donations in Alan's memory may be made to his daughters college fund, 30 Dufton Road, Andover, MA 01810.
