Lorenzo G. Soto, 76, of New Bedford died May 4, 2016 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility.
Born and raised in Moca, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Angel Antonio Gonzalez and Timotea (Soto) Gonzalez, he lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to New Bedford in 1982.
He was formerly employed by New England Plastic until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Ada Caban of New Bedford and their children, Carlos Rosario of Centerville, MA, Victoria Caraballo of New Bedford and Annette Caban of Fall River; brothers and sisters, Mercede Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez, Alicia Gonzalez, Melida Lazardo, Carmen Gonzalez, Irma DeJesus, Enrique Gonzalez and Angel Gonzalez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Jose Raul Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, Jose Antonio Gonzalez and Fausto Gonzalez.
His visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 5-8 PM in the the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
