Terry Randall Courtoy, 72, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Barnette officiating. Mr. Courtoy will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Eastside Baptist Church.
Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 20, 1944 in Ashburn, Mr. Courtoy was the son of the late Rev. Earl Courtoy and Victoria Beard Courtoy. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Faircloth Courtoy, who passed away in 2012. He graduated from Tift County High School and retired in 2000 from the District 4 Lab of the Georgia Department of Transportation, after serving 34 years. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Mr. Courtoy is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Matt and Kathryn Courtoy of Marietta and Shaun Courtoy of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Gerri Courtoy and Byron and Renee Courtoy, all of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Phylis and Jim Willis of Cobb; three grandchildren, Jackson Courtoy of Tifton and Cooper Courtoy and Clara Courtoy, both of Marietta; and special friends, Bonnie and Scottie Love.
