Herbert Waithe Jr. age 68 of Methuen passed away on Monday afternoon April 25, 2016 the soul of Herbert Waithe Jr.our beloved brother entered into eternal rest at The Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire after numerous battles with various illnesses.. Herbert was born on October 18.1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended and graduated from Tenney High school where he played basketball. He furthered his education at the Northern Essex Community College. Herbert worked as an Agent with the Internal Revenue for 30 plus years. Herbert was one of four children. As a member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation he loved the annual Pow Wow which is held every year on the Shinnecock Reservation. He enjoyed volunteering at the Lazarus house and other non profit organizations. Herbert had many friends whom referred to him as the Chief. He enjoyed meeting up with friends on Friday nights and playing cards. He is predeceased by his mother Eunice A.(Cuffee) Waithe and father Herbert Waithe Sr. and brother Richard. Herbert is survived by a brother Kevin Waithe and his wife Brenda from Methuen Massachusetts and his sister Saundra Dennis and her husband Andre who reside on the Shinnecock Reservation. Herbert is survived by his last surviving aunt who is Geneva Trotman of the Shinnecock Reservation. He was the loving uncle of Getra,,Dionne,Tanya, Thomas and Shawn. Herbert is also survived by 6 grandnieces,3 grandnephews and 1 great grandnephew.
