Lawrence F. “Kinga” Collins Jr. passed away on May 1, 2016. He was 79 years old.
Lawrence was a lifelong resident of Malden and a graduate of Malden High School. He was involved in Malden Babe Ruth league for over 30 years as the league manager and the coach of the Seals and the Colts. Lawrence also worked as a crossing guard for many years for the City of Malden.
Lawrence was the beloved husband of 55 years to Jean (Upton) Collins. He was the son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Vera (Tangreti) Collins. Lawrence was the loving father of Kevin Collins and the late Sean Collins. He was the dear brother of Kenneth Collins and the late Ronald Collins. Lawrence was the cherished grandfather of Stephen Collins, Deanna Collins, and Kurtis Collins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
