Carole Ann (Nunziato) Gigante of Lowell died on Sunday, May 1, at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Marjorie (Malone) Nunziato. A long-time Medford resident, Carole was proud to serve for many years as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Francis of Assisi Parish at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford.
Carole was the beloved wife of Robert Gigante, and the devoted mother of Marc Gigante and his wife Robin of Tewksbury, Laura Lathrop and her husband Brian of Lowell, Patrick Gigante and his wife Jackie of Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Lily, Whitney, James, Jake, Noah, Mason and Nicholas, and the cherished sister of Paul Nunziato and his wife Sandra of New Hampshire, Steven Nunziato of Somerville, Michael Nunziato and his wife Julie of North Dakota, and the late Robert, Salvatore Jr., and Joseph Nunziato. Carole is also survived by many more relatives and friends. Special thanks to the nurses at Tufts Medical Center MICU for their kindness and support.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, May 4, at 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30 through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
