Sylvia Y. Rivard 90, of Rhodes Ave., died Saturday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Rivard. Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Arthemise (Maurice) Roussel. Sylvia was a home maker for most of her life. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, gardening and shopping.
She is survived by two sons Leo R. Rivard of Papillion, NE, and Marc R. Rivard of Foxboro, MA, two daughters Michelle Lizotte of Blackstone, MA and Gisele Slone of Rockville, VA., five grandchildren James, Danielle, Christine, Rebecca, and Jordan and two great-grandchildren Nicholas and Emma. She was also the sister of the late Rev. Lucien Roussel, Roland Roussel and Edna Roussel.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
