William M. Amaral, age 79, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016, surrounded by his loving family in Delray Beach, Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Hannah (Cabral) Amaral. Born in Fall River, Bill was the son of the late William and Mary (Michael) Amaral. Bill was a 1953 graduate of Durfee High School and served proudly overseas in the United States Air Force. He was employed for many years by Raytheon and later Honeywell and loved to travel, play golf and spend time with his many friends and family. Bill leaves behind his daughters, Toni-Ann Rock (husband James) of Cheshire, Connecticut and Patricia Caron of Somerset; sisters, Theresa Medeiros and Elaine Fillion, both of Somerset; grandsons, Cameron and Dylan Breen and Jack and Daniel Caron; many nieces and nephews; and loving friend, Helen DeCoste. Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May 6th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. A memorial mass will follow Saturday’s visitation hours at St. Bernard’s Church, 30 South Main Street, Assonet, Massachusetts, at 11:00 am.
