SACO- Kathleen Coyne, 68 passed away at home in Saco surrounded by her family on April 29, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Olive Mae “Madie” Coyne, born on September 22,1947. She was a graduate from South Portland High School.
She was predeceased by her sisters Barbara Harmon, Mary Atwood, Maureen Smith, her brother Thomas Coyne Jr. and her granddaughter Bayley Kierstead. Immediate surviving family members are her daughter Keri-ann Johnson and husband Blaine Johnson of Saco and their three children Nicholas, Kennedy, and Luke Johnson, as well as her son Kevin Kierstead and wife Erica Kierstead of Portland and their two children Morgan and Maxwell Kierstead.
Kathleen was a strong, independent, hard-working woman who did everything she could to help those she loved. Kathleen was best known for her unconditional love for her family. She loved long walks on the beach, curling up with a good book, and sipping the perfect cup of tea with milk and no sugar. She called her family daily and never missed a single function of any of her grandchildren. The world has never known a more giving, dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, or friend. Her fiery, youthful energy and wit will be remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.
