WORCESTER, MA: George R. Waller, Jr., 47, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. He leaves his mother, Vermell (Edwards) Williams Waller; a sister, Patricia Lopez of Worcester; five brothers, Delroy Williams of Brandon, FL, Clifford Williams of Manhattan, NY, Kenny Williams of Berlin, NH, Eric and Gary Waller, both of Worcester; three nephews, Shawn Williams, Todd W. Williams, Anthony Williams; a niece, Patricia Lopez; a great nephew, Marcus Williams; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family.
He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late George R. Waller, Sr. He attended North High School and served in the United States Army. His brother, Wallie N. Williams, Jr., died on July 25, 2015.
George was as a grocer for Stop and Shop Supermarkets in Worcester and Revere for many years. He enjoyed gaming, playing guitar and watching sports. He will be remembered as a talented artist who loved to draw and paint since he was very young. In keeping with George’s generous spirit, he chose to be an organ donor to provide help for someone in need.
CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on THURSDAY, MAY 5 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL SERVICE in Celebration of George’s Life will be held in the Funeral Home at 11 A.M. on FRIDAY, MAY 6, followed by burial in Hope Cemetery.
