Jeffrey P. "Jeff" Lane, a lifelong resident of Brockton, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday April 29, 2016 after a long and hard battle with addiction. He was 31 years old.
Jeff was born in Malden on February 20, 1985, a son of William J. Lane and Maureen A. Lane. He grew up in Brockton where he was educated in the Brockton Public School system and graduated from Brockton High School in 2003 where he excelled on the varsity hockey team. Jeff furthered his education and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 2007. Jeff worked as an Analyst for BlueCross and BlueShield for almost 6 years. Jeff's passion in life was his music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed DJ'ing at many events. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed all water sports in the summer and skiing and snow boarding in the winter.
Jeff is the beloved son of William J. Lane and Maureen A. Lane of Brockton. He is the devoted brother of William M. Lane and his wife Tiana of South Hamilton, Massachusetts and Tara A. Lane of Brockton. He is the loving uncle to Arya James Lane. He is the beloved grandson of Eleanor (Doherty) Lane of Revere and the late William Lane, Antoinette DeAngelo, Alfred Rowland and also Theresa and Lawrence Page of Carver. He is the beloved nephew of Kathleen and Lawrence Calisi of Wakefield, Lynne and Michael Williams of Carver, Marsha and James Whalen of Northfield, New Hampshire, Robert and Patricia Lane of Billerica and June and William Lewey of Revere and the late Michael Rowland. He is also lovingly survived by his beloved dog Layla and many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeff's visiting hours on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 4 to 7 P.M. followed by his Funeral Service at 7 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
