Rene Arthur Joseph Noel, 90, of Manchester, NH died July 6, 2005 at a
local health care facility after a lengthy illness.
He was born in St. Lazare, Quebec, on May 29, 1915, the son of Delphis and
Amazalie (Chabot) Noel. He was one of 13 children.
He had served in the Massachusetts State Guard Medical Corps during WWII.
Prior to moving to the Manchester, NH area several years ago, he had lived in Danvers, MA for 44 years.
Until his retirement in 1980, he had been employed at Pequot Mills, JW Greer Co., Joy Manufacturing, and Design Processing Engineers of Billerica, MA.
He was a parishioner of St. Marie Church and was a member of the St. Marie Legion of Christ.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Yvonne M. (Collin) Noel in 2002.
Members of his family include one sister, Simone Gilbert of Manchester; a nephew, Real Noel Jr. of Sandown, NH; many other nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday July 12, 2005 in the chapel. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
