Ioanna (Adamas) Argyriadis, 75, of Sterling, died Wednesday, April 27th in St. Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ioannis Argyriadis; two sons, Christos Argyriadis and Georgios Argyriadis and his wife, Amanda all of Worcester; her daughter, Fotini Coomey and her husband, Shawn of Sterling; a brother, Georgios Vivitsas and his wife, Soultana of Düsseldorf, Germany; a sister, Daphne Tsiotsios and her husband, Georgios of Hrisohorafa, Greece; four grandchildren, Diantha and Phoenix Argyriadis and Zoe and Liam Coomey and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Dimitrios Boultsios and Stamatis Adamas predeceased her.
She was born in Hrisohorafa, Greece the daughter of Konstantinos and Fotini (Gaidatzi) Adamas. Mrs. Argyriadis was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She enjoyed cooking and tending to her vegetable garden. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Her funeral is Tuesday, May 3rd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday May 2nd from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
