George A. Biron, 93, of Hooksett passed away April 26, 2016 at Bedford Hills Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester, the son of the late Josephat and Rosa (Verville) Biron, one of ten children.
He had been a resident of Hooksett since 1998. An Army veteran of World War II, he was employed as a printer by the Association Canado Americaine until his retirement in 1980. Mr. Biron was a member of the American Legion Post 79 of Manchester.
George was pre deceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Germaine (Desfosses) Biron in 2007.
Family members include his son George A. Biron Jr. and his wife Jacqueline and two granddaughters, Kristen Biron and Briana Biron of Townsend MA; a brother Donald J. Biron of the Villages, FL; many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by four sisters, Antoinette, Claire, Irene and Theresa; four brothers, Arthur, Ernest, Lucien and Maurice.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 PM in the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9 AM in Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
