Jimmie Louise Hayes Drawdy, 79, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Donnie Sloan and the Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Mrs. Drawdy will be laid to rest at Baker Cemetery in Berrien County with the Rev. T. J. Mauldin officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Chris Drawdy, Josh Drawdy, Jeremy Drawdy, David Edge II, Adrian Edge, Jacob Drawdy, Tyler Stringer, Russell Thomas and Adam Drawdy will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 24, 1937 in Berrien County, Mrs. Drawdy was the daughter of the late Wilburn Brown Hayes and Nina Eunice Hiers Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Dewey Drawdy, Sr. She was retired as a textile supervisor and a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Drawdy is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Derrell and June Drawdy of Omega, Dewey Jr. and Nell Drawdy of Enigma, Dale and Vickie Drawdy of Ocilla and Greg Drawdy of Ty Ty; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristie Darlene and David Edge of Tifton; four brothers, Travis Hayes of Stockbridge, Edward Hayes of Griffin, Billy Hayes of Woodstock and Felton Hayes of Brookfield; three sisters, Betty Gandy of Brookfield, Nina Jean Purvis of Lenox and Joan Ziegler of Tifton; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Patricia Eason of Vanceville; and her love and companion, Chico.
