Stephanie J.”Stella” Motta, 88 of Medford died Wednesday after a brief illness at home.
Born in Boston, and formerly of the West End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Biagga (Reggano) and Salvatore Puleio. Stephanie was a homemaker and an accomplished dressmaker.
Beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Motta. Devoted mother of Constance M. Persons and her husband Daniel of Independence, MN, James J. Motta of Stoneham, Leo A. Motta and his wife Elaine of Lynnfield, Stephanie M. Breen and her husband Thomas of Medford, Carol Ann Bankowski and her husband James of Snyder, NY. Loving grandmother of Sally Ann Persons of Independence, MN, Jamie, James, Jessica, and Jenna Motta of Stoneham Andrew, Gregory, and Elizabeth Motta of Lynnfield, Stephanie and Kaitlin Breen of Medford, Jonathon, Andrea and Samuel Bankowski of Snyder, NY. Sister of Joanne Rossi of Everett, Joseph Puleio of Gloucester, Charles Puleio of Ventura, CA and the late Mary Skistimas, Anthony “Zibby”, Salvatore “Murphy”, Leo, Domenic and Steven Puleio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, on Friday July 8 at 10 AM.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
