FALL RIVER – Stuart M. Geier, age 63 of Fall River passed away on April 26, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Fatma (Akin) Geier and the son of the late Norton P. and Helene (Zeeman) Geier. Stuart earned his M.F.A from New York University. Prior to retiring, Stuart worked for Anderson Little Co. as an Industrial Engineer. He was extremely well read and was a fan of Rock & Roll and many other forms of music. Stuart grew up in Western Pennsylvania and remained a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers & Pittsburgh Penguins fan his entire life.
Stuart was eccentric, but only in the best ways. He was intellectual, witty, and always had something intelligent to say about any topic. His Mantra: “Groovin’ to the music and taking what comes.” He lived his life his way.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Jacob Geier, of whom he was very proud, his brother and sister-in-law Jon and Suzy Geier and a niece and nephew Kate and Ben Geier. Stuart was very close with his brother-in-law Zeki Akin, his wife Sukriye, and their daughters Elanur and Hazel.
