Catherine (“Kay”) Mary Gebo, 96, of Longmeadow, beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Gebo, Sr., passed away on April 21, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her family. Daughter of Wasily and Mary (Kaganek) Michnovez, Catherine was born in West Springfield on February 9, 1920. Catherine was a longtime resident of Longmeadow and a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish, Longmeadow. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Murphy and her husband Ronald of Goshen, Raymond E. Gebo, Jr. and his wife Leona of Springfield and Richard W. Gebo, Sr. and his wife Rosemary of East Longmeadow, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother, John Michnovez in 1996. The family would like to acknowledge the tremendous care given to Catherine by Mt. Saint Vincent Care Center. A funeral Service will be held on Thurs Apr 28, 2016 at 9:45 am at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Funeral Mass to take place at 11 am in St Mary’s Church in Longmeadow. Calling Hours will be held on Wed, Apr 27, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
