Obituary

WAYLAND: The Haffey family sadly announces the passing of their loving son, Sean Patrick Haffey, 25, on April 22, 2016.
He was born in Boston on May 6, 1990 the son of John T. Haffey and Karen E (Ault) Haffey of Wayland.
Besides his parents, Sean is survived by his brother Mark D. Haffey and his sister Jane T. Haffey both of Wayland. Maternal grandson of John and Dorothy (White) Ault of Wayland. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sean has been a longtime resident of Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 2009 where he excelled in sports. He was the Captain of the Wayland High School Football team and the Hockey Team. He was attending Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island and was majoring in Business Management. Sean was also associated with his father as a Manager for the family owned J. T. Haffey Builders of Wayland.
Sean was an outgoing person who enjoyed traveling, fishing, boating and loved to be with his family especially in Manomet. He also spent several summers playing softball for the WAYCO softball league. He will be greatly missed for his bright smile, witty sense of humor and dapper style by all who knew and loved Sean.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are requested to go directly to Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin’s Church, 99 Main Street (Rte 27), Wayland on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 am for his Mass of Christian Burial.
Private interment will be held for his family.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that gifts in Sean’s memory be sent to Genesis Counseling Services, 24 Union Avenue, #11, Framingham, MA 01702.
