Richard K. Greene, Sr., 57, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Milford Regional Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved fiancé, Halina, his two children, Marissa and Rick, Jr., and their fiancés, Georgia and Jim. He also leaves behind his precious grandsons, Nathan and Memphis, who gave him great joy. One of 8 children, Rick leaves behind his brothers Jimmy, Randy, Mark, Barry, Danny, Bob, and their spouses, and his sister, Cheryl, who currently lives in Florida.
Richard was born in Providence, RI, and lived in Seekonk, Attleboro, Franklin and Bellingham.
Richard worked in the construction field most of his life: he was a painting sub-contractor and worked in Boston, Newport, other areas of MA, and RI and supervised an entire working crew building a 12 story hotel in Florida. He loved playing his "oldies" music when he worked.
He loved the beach, loved to swim, loved to cook and entertain. He also wrote many poems, which he hoped would be published someday. He will be remembered by his family and friends as being a very generous man and always ready to help.
Richard will be remembered as the "Life of the Party", always encouraging everyone to have fun. He will surely be missed.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin, at 1:00p.m.
Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00-1:00p.m.
