New Bedford – Clara (Cabral) Lima, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Royal Taber Nursing Home in New Bedford, MA. Born in New Bedford, MA. Clara was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Maria A. (Medeiros) Cabral. Clara is survived by her husband of sixty years Herbert Lima, her sister-in-law Gilda Costa and husband William of Venice, Florida, two nieces, godchild Mary Ellen Costa and partner Kathleen Texeira of New Bedord and Susan M. Roberts and husband Noel of Westport and two nephews survive Clara, David M. Costa of Hoboken, NJ and Steven W. Costa of Portsmouth, NH. Clara was predeceased by her four siblings, Joseph P. Jr., Antone P. and Dennis P. Cabral and Mary P. (Cabral) Crosby.
Her visitation will be Tuesday in the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M.
