Christine Banker
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, April 23, 2016, Mrs. Christine D. Banker, 84, wife to the late Sgt. Earl Russell Banker.
Mrs. Banker was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and was an avid lover of dogs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.
Family members include her children: Donna Rice (Kevin), Debora Anderson (Rob), Earl R. Banker, II, and Tricia Keasler (Glenn); grandchildren: Brittany McManus (Andy), Melissa Quillen (Anthony), Emily Lawson, and Russell Whisnant; and great grandson: Gavin Earl McManus. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son: Evan Lance Banker; granddaughter: Clara Grace Lawson; brother: Emmett Barrs; and sister: Mary Alice King.
The family would like to thank the Eisenhower doctors, nurses, and staff on 9 East and the Emergency Department, Xtraordinary Care, Regency Hospice, and the Jud C. Hickey Alzheimer’s Center for their wonderful care and compassion.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Gary DeMore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jud C. Hickey Alzheimer’s Center, 1901 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
