Regina Rose ‘Jean’ (Rathburn) Nardone, 77, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge surrounded by her family.
Her husband of 37 years, Michael A. Nardone died in 1996.
She leaves 5 sons, Joseph A. Nardone of Leicester, Michael J. Nardone and his wife Cheryl of Charlton, Thomas P. Nardone and his wife Maria of Nashua, N.H., David A. Nardone of North Brookfield and Anthony C. Nardone of Charlton, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand-daughter ‘Miss Kaey’, 2 sisters, Gladys Kimball of Vt., and Barbara Berry of N.J. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Burlington, Vt. the daughter of the late Ira and Ida Rathburn and lived here over 50 years. She was also predeceased by 2 sisters and a brother.
She worked from 1978-2003 at the Masonic Home where she retired and then was affectionately known as the ‘Boss’ at the family business, Michael’s Service Station, mainly with customer relations.
She was an amazing woman who gave of herself to others while brightening the lives of many. She was enjoying her retirement to the fullest by spending time with family and friends. She was truly a special woman who loved unconditionally. Jean will be missed by many people.
Calling Hours for Jean will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5-7PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd.
Burial will be Private with her husband in West Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
