Obituary

Mr. Randall A. Hurley, a resident of Lawrence and beloved husband of Shirley (Chapman) Hurley, passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2016. He was 81 years old.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on May 3, 1934, he was the beloved son of the late Randall F. and Mary (Chisholm) Hurley. Mr. Hurley was a graduate of Punchard High School and had been employed as an Operating Engineer, for many years. During his career, Randall had worked for the Deer Island Outfall Tunnel and on the “Big Dig”. He was an Army reservist. Mr. Hurley was the past Exalted Ruler for the Andover Elks and a member of the VFW in North Andover. He was also a member of the Mt. Vernon Historical Society and the local 4 Operating Engineers. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife Shirley, he is survived by his loving children; Rena M. David of Haverhill, Lois McGonagle of Lawrence, Sherry Vance of Bradford, Tresa and her husband Walter Faino of Fremont, New Hampshire, Margaret M. and her husband Rory Hill of Hudson, Ohio and Patricia E. and her husband Frederick L. Williams of Fremont, New Hampshire, siblings; Daniel Hurley of South Yarmouth, Charles and his wife Marie Hurley of Exeter, New Hampshire, Helen and her husband Jon Taylor of South Yarmouth and Maureen and her husband Dr. John “Tex” Kidd of Topsfield. twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William Hurley.
His funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, April 25, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM.
