Obituary

Marie Ghislaine Dumornay was born in Cholette Casogne, Haiti. on March 7, 1945 to the late Marie Aniole and Bishop Michel Carmeleau Dumornay.
She was raised in Savane La Coupe, a district of Mirebalais, where she spent her childhood years. The fourth of nine children, she was brought in a Christ-centered home which influenced her to give her life to the Lord at an early age. From the age of seventeen, she started going on mission trips with her parents, traveling around her country spreading the Gospel.
Marie married Hermann Leveillard on March 11, 1965 and were blessed with four children: Marie Junon, David, Magdalene, and the late Guy.
Marie migrated to the United States in 1981, where she worked several jobs to provide for her family. Her final job was at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she worked for over 18 years. Once retired, she dedicated all her time to the Lord.
She carried on in her passion for God's work serving in the Church of God, Bethel of Boston, an extension of the ministry her father began in Haiti. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Marie continued her missionary passion in evangelism, preaching the Word and successfully encouraging many people to give their life to Christ. A dedicated servant, she could be found at nearly every church service, meeting or event, motivating her fellow brothers and sisters to be active in church life, in Godly life.
Marie was a commited worker; her spiritual gift was prayer. MarieGhislaine or more commonly known as "Sr. Hermann or Sr. Leveillard" was a prayer warrior. She prayed with everyone, whether stranger or friend, praying so much that she was recognized as the person to call when one needed someone a prayer of intercession. She prayed with everyone, with members of her church and the Haitian Christian community nationwide and abroad. One day, God put it in her heart to start a prayer line and she did, "Groupe Lumiere" (Light Group). This faithful group of Christians, across states, call in every night for years, to pray, worship, and learn to understand God's Word better. This was truly her final job, serving her Lord and Savior.
Marie Ghislaine Leveillard fought a good fight, kept the faith and finished her race on April 14, 20163 in the company of her siblings in her hometown of Mirebalais, Haiti. She was joyful, a passionate sister, strong wife, loving mother, caring aunt, supportive God-mother and faithful servant whom our Hevenly Father has called home. Marie is survived by her husband Herman, children; Marie Junin, David, and Magdalene; grandchildren; Steven, Nigel Jr., Nathaniel, Nicole, Jonathan, and great-grandson Javian (son of Rogerson, deceased), mother Marie A.
