Frank H. Fisher, Jr., age 85 of Mansfield, formerly of Norton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen E. (Metcalf) Fisher who died on January 9, 2002.
Born in Mansfield, MA on April 14, 1931, he was a son of the late Frank, Sr. and Elsie (Goodrich) Fisher. He grew up and was educated in Mansfield.
A former resident of Norton for many years, Mr. Fisher was the proud owner of the former Fisher Seamless Floors Co. in Norton, a business he established in 1969 and retired from in 2001.
Frank was a former member of the Norton Call Fire and Rescue Dept., and was also a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and was involved with Eagle Scouts in Norton.
Mr. Fisher enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, working in his yard, and was truly proud to have built two homes in Norton,
He is survived by his devoted children Shirley M. Fisher of North Attleboro, Robert W. Fisher and his wife Donna of Mansfield, Beverly A. Fisher of Taunton, Frank H. Fisher, III of North Attleboro and Bruce E. Fisher of South Carolina. He was the dear brother of Barbara Lewis of Pennsylvania, Myrtle Brown of Attleboro, James Fisher of Rehoboth, Harry Fisher of Attleboro, Jerald Fisher of Attleboro, Delores Kane of Pawtucket and William Fisher of Taunton. His adoring 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, April 25th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
