Mary Louise Parkinson, 88, of Bear Hill Road, Cumberland, died Thursday, April 21, 2016 surrounded by her family at Golden Crest Nursing Centre in North Providence. She was the widow of the late Frank R. Parkinson.
Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell L. and Catherine (Thomas) Everett. She had lived in PA before moving to RI ten years ago.
While living in PA, she was a homemaker, a member of the PTA, Scout Leader of Troop 24 (Brownies) Penns Woods Girl Scout Council and a member of the 1st Welsh Presbyterian Church and later the Shavertown United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Robert T. Parkinson of Reading, PA. and Deborah A. Parkinson of Cumberland, RI.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday April 26th at 6:45pm in ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Visitation Tuesday 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
