Obituary

Allan J. “Bucky” Doody Jr. died suddenly on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home in Oak Hills, Virginia.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Debra (Walker) Doody and his daughters Christina Doody of Charlotte, North Carolina and Melissa Doody of Seattle Washington, his mother Anne Doody of Canton, MA and his late father Allan J. Doody Sr., brothers Stephen Doody of Laconia, NH and Charles Doody of Canton, MA and sister Lorraine Doody-Tondre of Canton in addition to many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle dearly.

Allan had a distinguished career in federal law enforcement, serving as the Agent in Charge of the Boston, Baltimore and Washington D.C. field offices. In 2013 he was awarded the Homeland Security Intelligence Award and the National Intelligence Exceptional Achievement Medal for the disruption and dismantlement of major narcotics trafficking groups. He was also presented with the Yorktown Award for oversight of the most significant undercover drug money laundering investigation (Operation Casablanca) conducted in U.S. history. Subsequent to retirement he worked as an independent contractor for the intelligence community with a focus on counterintelligence and counterespionage.

More importantly, Allan was a loving husband, father and brother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, motorcycling, traveling in his RV and vacationing in Sebago Lake, ME.

Visiting hours will be held at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton, MA from 4 - 8 PM on Wednesday, April 27th. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St. Canton on Thursday, April 28th at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
